3D Printed Bust - Tharg the Mighty
Borag thungg, Earthlets!! This is a Bust of the 2000ad character Tharg the Mighty made in Metahuman, Zbrush and Maya and printed in my 3D Printer. This was a weekend project that took me quite some time to finish (why find spare time is so hard? haha I need clones xD). I hope you like the final result.
The base of the bust was done with the Metahuman tool of Epic. Here I made the first pass of the face.
Those are the main references that I used for the modeling.
Using the Metahuman as the base of the head I imported the geometry into Zbrush to be able to fully customized and after this into Maya to add more details (like eye brows, rosetta of Sirius in his forehead and the jacket, which was fully modelle in Maya
In Maya I also did the model of the base.

This is the bust right after printed. It took about 26 hours using about 350g.
This is the bust with the prime layer before painting.
This is the final result. Painted using a metal paint hammered spray paint with one copper rub `n buff layer above it. After the painting I also added a protective matte coat.
The final size of the bust is 35cm height and 21cm wide.
